In 2001, local community coalitions, designated by area school district boundaries, joined together to form the Northland Coalition. Currently, each of the local areas is represented on the Northland Coalition and, likewise, each local community coalition implements Northland Coalition programs in their communities. These local coalitions meet at a different time and place. Each coalition is supported with technical assistance from Tri-County Mental Health Services. Coalitions are funded through grants from The Clay, Platte Ray Mental Health Tax Levy, Missouri Division of Behavioral Health, Drug Free Communities grants, and various other donations.
